As part of its commitment to strengthening national identity and instilling pride in Egypt’s glorious history, Obour University for Science and Technology organized a seminar entitled “October 6th… The Day of Pride and Dignity” at the university campus. The event hosted Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdullah, one of the heroes of the October War, who delivered an inspiring lecture highlighting the heroic sacrifices of the Egyptian Armed Forces in reclaiming the nation’s land and honour.

The seminar was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdallah El-Dahshan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abou El-Nasr, University President, as well as the deans of faculties, members of the teaching staff, assistants, and a large audience of students who expressed their deep appreciation for the guest and their pride in the everlasting legacy of the October victory.

During his speech, Major General Dr Ahmed Abdullah praised the university’s initiative to commemorate this historic event, affirming that October 6th remains a symbol of challenge, determination, and the Egyptian will that knows no impossibility.

 

At the end of the seminar, Prof. Dr Mahmoud Abou El-Nasr, President of the University, presented the Shield of Obour University for Science and Technology to Major General Dr Ahmed Abdullah, in recognition of his heroic role and distinguished contributions during the October War, as well as his ongoing service to the nation. The guest expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the honour, emphasising his confidence in the youth of Egypt as the true bearers of the nation’s future.
